I doubt that there will be a better death metal album in 2017. Still, to call this "death metal" is a bit reductive. It has blackened doom aspects and a reliance on atonality that is closer to 70's jazz-fusion-art-rock rather than death metal riffage. MindOverFour
I love this whole album. It's a masterpiece, truly. I almost wish it weren't so fucking fantastic, because if it weren't, it wouldn't be so gods-damned infuriating that my shitbag mailman bent my fucking vinyl when he was putting it into my box.
